Making Sense of Salary Surveys: Understanding & Leveraging Market Data

Join us for a 90-minute presentation that teaches you how to read and interpret salary surveys with a critical-eye. Learn a more efficient approach to survey submissions, explore the art and science of job matching, identify which key fields can best help you understand the data set, and gain insight into how to use surveys to better determine your organization’s competitive position within the market.

We will discuss the role of the compensation surveys as a market pricing tool, the importance of participation, and the benefits of using multiple salary data sources. You’ll also learn the importance of identifying the underlying assumptions and constructs associated with any given survey.

Using actual salary data from the 2017 HRA NCA Salary Survey, we’ll demonstrate the key steps in matching jobs; identifying potential data anomalies; and pricing hybrid jobs.
